Send large files directly, browser to browser
FileDart lets two Open Web Tools users transfer files of any size directly between their browsers, using a peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. Your files are never uploaded to our servers — they travel straight from sender to receiver, encrypted end-to-end.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. OWT only coordinates the connection (the "room"). The file data travels directly between the two browsers over an encrypted WebRTC connection. In rare cases where a direct connection isn't possible (e.g. restrictive networks), an encrypted relay is used — but the relay never decrypts your data.
When sending a single file on a supported browser (Chrome/Edge), there's no hard limit, since the file is streamed directly to disk as it arrives. Transfers of multiple files, or on browsers without that capability (Safari/Firefox), are limited to 2GB total to protect your browser's memory.
The room automatically closes after 10 minutes if the other person hasn't joined, and you'll see a clear message on screen.
